In addition to a beautiful interior design, the outdoor landscape is also important part in creating an attractive and well balanced environment. We may plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation to decorate our yard, but decorative rocks and stones are indispensable. They are known as landscape rocks. These ornamental rocks and stones can be utilized throughout the yard for an assortment of purposes ranging from a decorative irrigation system, elegant fountains, or ornate gardens. There are many different ways to use rocks in your landscaping including rock gardens, pathways, steps, fountains and more. Rock is a great addition to any landscape because it provides a natural look that is long lasting and attractive.

Unusual-shape Garden Rock - Chinese Scholars' Rock

China has a long history using natural rocks for an outdoor landscape design, especially in those great landscape gardens. A typical Chinese garden is enclosed by walls and includes one or more ponds, rock works, trees and flowers, and an assortment of halls and pavilions within the garden, connected by winding paths and zig-zag galleries. Rocks of unusual shapes, known as Chinese Scholars' Rocks, are often selected to portray the part of a mountain or a mountain range in a garden scene. Gradually rocks became an essential feature of the Chinese garden. 'Lake Tai' rock is known for its fantastic and grotesque shapes. A Rock is a great addition to any landscape because it provides a really natural look that is long lasting and attractive.

Taihu Lake Stone

Taihu Lake Stone is one of the traditional garden stones in China. The limestone has been formed totally by weather. Stones were subjected to the impact of waves of water from Taihu Lack which contains carbon dioxide. Over the long period of time, it has been gradually eroded with holes and formed the diverse and exquisite appearances. They are mostly gray, rare in white and black color.

This is a typical Taihu Lake Stone used in a Chinese garden.
